The gray season of the Pacific Northwest has arrived in full force, impelling many of us who inhabit this dark corner of the country to seek a dose of color and a break from the monotony in more inviting environs.

ART, OBJECTIFIED WITH KEVIN ARNOLD

Kevin Arnold’s (NAP #100) multi-paneled canvases are refreshing and humorous.  Creating art that is all about the object and its very own objecticity, if you will, Arnold paints canvases as physical placeholders and stand-ins for the very objects he depicts.  Canvases become vinyl pillows, packing cardboard boxes, folding chairs and tables.

NAP #100 Sneak Peek

In about two weeks the South issue of New American Paintings, our 100th, will be hitting newsstands around the country and arriving in the mailboxes of our subscribers.
