While my painting shows many elaborative details, the atmosphere feels empty. The inner or outer deconstructed states of the subject matter evoke a sense of loss and solitude. In the stillness that creates its own space and time on the canvas, I scumble the subtle shape of undepicted existence in scenery, portraying traces of ephemeral and disappearing presence.
