Cristine Brache is a New York-based multidisciplinary artist whose work examines feminine archetypes and the female psyche through persona, obsolescence, and erasure. Across encaustic painting, sculpture, and film, she spotlights the power structures that shape visibility, memory, and history.
She has recently exhibited at Amant, Brooklyn; ICA, Miami; Berlinische Galerie, Berlin; and The Bunker Art Space, West Palm Beach. Her films have screened at festivals like the Florida Film Festival (Orlando); Miami Film Festival (Miami); and Slamdance (Park City). Her work has been critically reviewed in Frieze, Artforum, The New York Times, and The New Yorker and is in the collection of places like ICA Miami and The Bunker of Beth Rudin de Woody.
She holds a BFA in Studio Art from Florida State University (2007) and an MFA in Fine Art Media from Slade School of Fine Art, London (2016).
