Artist Statement

Caris Reid creates an ethereal, symbolic world of blooming flowers, mirrored birds, and hypnotic ripples. Influenced by her interest in mysticism, the California landscape, queer ecology, and meditation, the paintings feel both familiar and mysterious. Each subject represents the nexus between the physical world and the spiritual world; every detail is coded and ripe with meaning, inviting viewers to commune with the subconscious.
