My paintings are concerned with genuine character. Beginning with snapshot digital portraits, I create works that show individuals in a moment of honest expression. I often paint these images at a bold scale and in hyperrealistic detail to bring forth an energetic and lasting presence. The fleeting moment becomes a persevering statement.
