We are pleased to announce that this year's Northeast Competition juror will be Nina Gara Bozicnik. Bozicnik is the Assistant Curator at the Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, NH, where she oversees Contemporary Connections, a project series featuring new work by early- and mid-career artists based in New England made in dialogue with the museum's collections, architecture, and institutional and regional histories. Bozicnik recently organized the exhibition Pretty Ugly: Deviant Materialism for the Mills Gallery at the Boston Center for the Arts, a multi-media show that explored the complexity of human desire and pleasure. Prior to joining the Currier, Bozicnik was part of the curatorial team at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA. Bozicnik lives in East Boston, MA. As we mentioned on Wednesday, we are now taking submissions for our Northeast Competition. The deadline is August 31, Midnight (EST) so if you reside in CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, & VT, this one is for you! Don't wait until the night of the deadline! Apply Now!
