Lauren George
Through my light, colorful portraits I capture a moment of a
person. My work is about portraiture—the process of painting and
rendering not only an individual but my relationship with them.
The painting encapsulates the things that define the person:
their mannerisms and personality as well as their likeness.
I intend for my viewers to feel an appreciation for painting and
the continuation of portraiture’s history. I allow them to create
their own connections, feelings, and stories.
