My work is rooted in the landscape of the northwest. I continue to be fascinated by the form and structure of both the natural environment, and the things that we build upon it. These works may seem graphic and abstract at times, but the imagery and the marks I make are informed by the changing northwest landscape, where I have lived most of my life.
I’m interested in the lines and shapes that form when we expand across the environment. I continue to be fascinated and wary of the unfettered growth that has little apparent awareness of long term ramifications. There is dark beauty in the way we systematically build upon natural beauty.
