Artist Statement

The work is about relationships, interactions, loneliness versus aloneness, and empathy. The figures are exploring their self-realization, needs, and motives. The relationships between the figures represent universal problems, elation, and intimacies. As an artist, I am dedicated to investigating and observing cultural shifts in empathy and ideologies. The ambiguous space of the work allows the viewer to interject their body and emotions into the canvas. Social and interpersonal interactions have always been at the crux of the work, because I find that they are significant to understanding the people and culture evolving around us.
