Artist Statement
My current body of work is an investigation of the relationship
between the tangible and intangible moments of everyday life,
where the tangible refers to events taking place in physical
space and the intangible refers to the subjectivity associated
with thought. While performing daily routines, I record singular
moments in physical space that seem to punctuate and interrupt
engagement in thought. Using light and dark as a pictorial
representation, I explore the potential for these contrasting
aspects to form a significant relationship that moves between
certainty and ambiguity.
