Artist Statement
My work is a sensual, intimate look at how food welcomes and
comforts us. I am inspired by Instagram and Twitter, as they
have become a virtual Rolodex of savory treats, seducing us
from our phones’ small screens. The paintings are a portrait
of guilty pleasures at an exaggerated scale, influenced by our
culture’s obsession with the artificial and delicious.
