Artist Statement
My artwork comes from the impetus to create, define, and reveal a personal language. Using systems of logos, signs, and symbols, I have designed a lexicon of images that manifest throughout my work as metaphors and parables. I investigate the ritualistic relationship I have with the natural and synthetic materials I use. The allegorical imagery I offer illustrates a world where characters and objects exist symbiotically within their environments. My narrative explores cycles of life and death through the relationships of these characters and objects ecological, industrial, and spiritual.
